Mark your calendars for Friday, October 15, 2010, when the 17th Annual Jordan &
Kyra Memorial Golf Tournament returns to Seascape Golf Club. Seascape is located
at 610 Clubhouse Drive in Aptos, California.
Our 2008 and 2009 events were held at the PGA TOUR’s TPC San Francisco Bay at Stonebrae,
and received rave reviews from everyone who participated. The Jordan & Kyra Memorial
Foundation would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the staff and members of
TPC San Francisco Bay and the Stonebrae Partners for making these events possible.
The 2010 event will once again be held at Seascape Golf Club, where the event has
its roots. The tournament will feature a single flight shotgun start, with space
limited to the first 144 registered golfers. As in years past, the tournament will
provide the intimate atmosphere and personal banquet ambience that have made this
such a special event over the years.
The tournament is operated by the American Golf Foundation (AGF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting the game of golf through charity, education
and community service. In addition to overseeing administrative functions of the
charity golf tournament, AGF supports the Jordan & Kyra Memorial Foundation through
its team of volunteer Ambassadors, who conduct fundraising events at golf courses
nationwide for its benefit. During the past 16 years, Ambassador fundraising efforts
– together with proceeds from the annual tournament – have raised more than $2 million
for the Jordan & Kyra Memorial Foundation. Funding supports pediatric brain tumor
research being conducted by the nation’s foremost expert in the field, Dr. Mark
Israel, MD at Dartmouth University’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center, as well as Family
House – a non-profit residence for the families of children undergoing treatment
at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center.
The 2010 tournament will feature a variety of exciting activities including a 4-person
handicap-scramble shotgun start tournament beginning at 11:30 am, a silent auction
with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and a dinner banquet. Entry into the tournament
includes a Continental breakfast, green and cart fees, lunch, tee gifts, and an
invitation to the reception and dinner banquet. Special hotel rates for tournament
entrants will be available at the Best Western’s Seacliff Inn and the Seascape Resort.
